![]() Nutritionix is the database backend MyPlate used, but all these apps seem similar. It can import recipes from a list of ingredients or food blog though, and premium is only $20. No data export, no custom calories without paying (silly!). They shut down their community forum in March 2023, which is worrying. LoseIt desktop site is a time capsule to 2010. ![]() Decent besides that-seems made with a lot of love-but expensive at $39.99. Their app and desktop site were very slow here to the US too. Also worried if that means it uses British pints, etc. No option to change default units, so get ready to have to change stones to pounds every time you log your weight (it appears). But, I already have a tracker so it is super convenient at least. 1/5įitbit's calorie counter is terrible on desktop, and I'm not sure I trust it will continue that into the future with how Google loves to kill products. USDA's (confusing) doesn't offer calorie tracking, just food pyramid stuff. I consider data export very important, because I would be upset to lose my weight history if MyPlate hadn't also offered it at or their weight graph page (iirc). Some housekeeping: All the prices I list are the starter offer I received for one year. I don't normally post to Reddit or do reviews like this so I apologize in advance! I'm sharing my research in the hopes it helps others. I've spent some time comparing some promising apps, their desktops, and some core features I need. Livestrong's MyPlate service is shutting down July 9th, which I've used off and on for many years.
